Site-specific installation on Governors Island, NY. Created in collaboration with nature, Bosque uses wood and bio-based polymers —offering an alternative to traditional petroleum-based materials. The work reimagines a forest, sparking dialogue around resource exploitation and the potential of bioplastics.
Bosque explores contrasts: inside vs. outside, harmony vs. tension, natural vs. artificial. What if forests could regenerate as fast as humans destroy them?
A soundscape of mockingbirds, seagulls, and ocean waves—recorded on the island—accompanies the piece. This immersive installation evolved throughout the day and was on view in Governors Island, June 2024.
